What Is The Weight Of The Frame?

The size 3 frame weighs approx 1300g and the fork 450g, both fully painted and finished, including hardware.

What Is The Tyre Clearance?

The Shift can take a maximum 32c tyre. This does depend on tyre/rim combination as it can vary between manufacturers.

Does The Shift Have A Rider Weight Limit?

The bike has been tested to a maximum total weight limit of 110kg. If you are near the upper end of this limit we would recommend regular checking on your spoke tension and wheelset.

What type of Bottom Bracket does this frame require?

The frame is designed around the T47 bottom bracket standard. In particular this is an Outboard T47 Bottom Bracket

Which Bearings Are Used In The Headset?

We only use Ceramic Speed SLT bearings in our headsets which come with a lifetime warranty.

What are the torque specs for the seatpost clamp, stem and thru axles?

Seatpost frame clamp - 12Nm. Thru Axles - 12Nm. Stem clamp - 6Nm

How is the Shift safety tested?

We use the ISO4210 standard as a basis for all of our frames, then we also carry out tests above and beyond this test in certain areas.

What Parts On The Frame Are Proprietary?

The following small parts are proprietary and we hold spares of these in case of damage or loss. Please contact us if you require any of these parts. Derailleur hangers, cable guides, seat clamp, seatclamp cover, headset top cap, headset spacers

Where Do I Fit a Di2 battery?

The Di2 battery can be inserted into the seatpost using the custom battery holder which is supplied with the frame.

Can I fit Mudguards?

No, the Shift does not feature mudguard eyelets. if you want a more suitable model for mudguards take a look at Forge

Can I choose a custom colour paint job?

Unfortunately this isn't something we currently offer on any of our framesets
